Moraviachor – Ostrava – Czech Republic

Moraviachor, a mixed choir founded in 2012, unites singers from across the Czech Republic in their shared passion for choral art. Gathering about six times a year for intensive rehearsal weekends, the ensemble cultivates musical excellence and fellowship. Since its founding, Moraviachor has taken part in sixteen international competitions, consistently earning gold-level awards. Among its distinctions are finalist honors at Voce Magna Žilina and the Ohrid Choir Festival 2018, second place in Baia Mare 2019, and Grand Prix victories in Prijedor 2017 and Zadar 2023. In 2025, the choir received the award for the Best Compulsory Piece at IFAS Pardubice. Its repertoire spans sacred and secular a cappella works by 20th- and 21st-century composers, as well as vibrant arrangements of Czech and Moravian folk songs. The choir performs under the inspired direction of Josef Surovík.

 

Paduan Suara El-Shaddai Universitas Sumatera Utara – Medan – Indonesia

Paduan Suara El-Shaddai Universitas Sumatera Utara (El-Shaddai Choir) was founded in 1996 in North Sumatra, Indonesia. Since its inception, the choir has pursued vocal excellence through discipline, teamwork, and inspired leadership, while proudly sharing Indonesian culture on the global stage. Beyond competitions, the ensemble develops artistry through workshops, seminars, and concerts. From its early years (1996–2009), it built a strong presence in local and national events before expanding internationally from 2010 onward. Major achievements include the World Choir Games 2010 in Shaoxing (category winner, 2nd place), Bali International Choir Competition 2012 and Singapore Choir Festival 2014 (two golds each), Grand Prix of Nations Riga 2017 (two golds), and recent honors at Tokyo (2019–2023), World Choir Games 2021, and Takarazuka 2023 (silver). 

 

Padjadjaran University Choir – Bandung – Indonesia

The Padjadjaran University Choir (PSM Unpad), founded in 1978, is one of Indonesia’s leading student choirs, celebrated for its artistry and global achievements. Over the decades, the ensemble has gained acclaim at prestigious international competitions, affirming its standing among the world’s top choral groups. In 2019, PSM Unpad was a finalist at the Asian Choral Grand Prix in Manila and triumphed at the 67th Polifonico Guido d’Arezzo in Italy, winning seven awards including the Grand Prix Città d’Arezzo. This milestone led to its participation in the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing 2022 in Tours. The choir continued its success with 1st place at the 11th “Antonio Vivaldi” Competition in Bulgaria, 1st in Contemporary Music at the Tokyo International Choir Competition 2023, and double golds at the Singapore International Choral Festival 2024.

 

Chamber Choir Ipavska – Vipava – Slovenia

Komorni zbor Ipavska (Chamber Choir Ipavska) has been a vibrant part of Slovenia’s Vipava Valley for over twenty-five years, uniting singers from across the region. The ensemble has appeared at numerous festivals, collaborated with choirs at home and abroad, and hosted masterclasses with renowned conductors Javier Busto and Gary Graden, performing with the latter in Stockholm in 2018. Ipavska frequently commissions new works, including pieces dedicated to it by Slovenian composers, Vytautas Miškinis, Javier Busto, and Bo Hansson. Its competitive achievements include top prizes at Lege Artis 2019, Varsovia Cantat 2019, and CantaRode 2022, where conductor Damjana Vončina earned multiple best conductor awards. In 2023 the choir won two golds in Olomouc and 1st prize in Herceg Novi, and in 2024 triumphed at Cantu Gaudeamus with two 1st prizes and the Grand Prix.

 

The Philippine Meistersingers – Silang – Philippines

For over six decades, the Philippine Meistersingers—formerly the AUP Ambassadors—have stood among the world’s most esteemed and active choirs. They gained international prominence in 2011 as Choir of the World at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, earning the Luciano Pavarotti Trophy, followed by a Philippine Congressional Proclamation and the Ani ng Dangal Award in 2012. Earlier honors include the U.S. Congressional Merit for Excellence (1999) and the World Choir Games Champion title in Gospel and Spiritual (2006, Xiamen). In 2018, they won top prizes at the 39th International May Choir Competition “Prof. Georgi Dimitrov” in Bulgaria. Under Ramon Molina Lijauco, Jr., their director since 1998, the ensemble continues to share its ministry of music worldwide—to the enduring glory of God.

 

Just Sing – Bucharest – Romania

Just Sing Choir is a vibrant children’s ensemble founded four years ago, bringing together talented young singers aged 9 to 13 from Avenor College. Under the inspiring guidance of their music teacher Ioana-Andreea Gafencu, the choir nurtures musical growth through a joyful blend of discipline, creativity, and teamwork. Despite its youth, Just Sing has already performed in distinguished venues such as St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague and the Sacré-Cœur Church in Bucharest, earning warm acclaim for its energy and sincerity. In 2024, the choir proudly received the Bronze Medal at the Musica Orbis Festival in Prague, marking an important milestone in its artistic journey. Looking ahead to the Rimini Choral Competition this November, Just Sing continues to celebrate the beauty of music and the uplifting power of young voices united in harmony.

 

Corala Sargetia – Nicoale Icobescu – Deva – Romania

The Sargeția Choir from Deva was founded in 1998 by Professor Nicolae Icobescu and soloist Gheorghe Pop, taking its name from the legendary river Sargeția near the Dacian capital Sarmizegetusa—a symbol of one of Europe’s oldest civilizations. Its repertoire spans Romanian choral masterpieces by I. Vidu, Gh. Dima, and George Enescu, alongside works by Mozart, Beethoven, Verdi, Tchaikovsky, and Orlando di Lasso. Over the years, the choir has earned numerous honors, including the Grand Trophy of the Liviu Borlan International Choral Festival (Baia Mare) and the Silver Medal at the Krakow International Choral Festival. Applauded on stages across Romania and throughout Europe, the ensemble—now under Adrian Vinars—continues to champion Romanian and European choral heritage with artistry, unity, and devotion.

 

Cantate Brno – Brno – Czech Republic

The Girls’ Choir Cantate Brno was founded in 1998 by choirmaster Vojtěch Veselý at the Cyrilometodějské Gymnázium and Pedagogical Secondary School in Brno. Since 2017, it has been led by MgA. Patrik Buchta, joined in close collaboration with Mgr. Stanislav Chvíla since 2021. For over 25 years, Cantate has proudly represented its school at festivals across the Czech Republic and abroad, including Germany, Austria, Italy, and Slovakia. Recent successes include a Gold Award with Cum laude at the Europees Muziekfestival voor de Jeugd in Neerpelt (2024), Gold at Slovakia Cantat (2023), and at the Festival of Czech Pedagogical High Schools in Brno (2025). Beyond competitions, Cantate enriches school life through benefit concerts, collaborations with Hradišťan and the Schola brněnské mládeže, and has released four CDs, most recently Srdečně (2023).

 

Pražská kantiléna – Prague – Czech Republic

Founded in 1991, the Pražská kantiléna Women’s Choir is one of the concert ensembles of the Jižní Město School of Arts in Prague, Czech Republic. Together with three preparatory sections, the choral program brings together more than 450 singers. The choir’s repertoire spans a wide range of musical styles, with a special passion for works of the 20th century and compositions inspired by folk traditions. Over the years, the ensemble has earned numerous awards both at home and abroad, including the Grand Prix in Bratislava (2013) and Venice (2019), as well as prizes in Bielsko-Biała (2015), Budapest (2017), Jihlava (2018), and Limburg–Lindenholzhausen (2024). Among its most valued collaborations are projects with the Czech Philharmonic, Collegium Marianum Orchestra, and the Prague Youth Philharmonic. The choir’s artistic director is its founder Zuzana Drtinová, and its conductor is Lea Esserová.

 

Choir Paleček – Prague – Czech Republic

The Paleček Choir is based at the Elementary Art School in Prague and takes its name from a long-vanished pond once located in Prague 9 – Horní Počernice. The ensemble brings together 35 young singers aged 11 to 18, who progress from the preparatory choir Malíček. Each year, Paleček performs in major Christmas and end-of-year concerts, as well as at various cultural events. The choir also holds an intensive summer camp focused on developing vocal technique and ensemble harmony. Paleček regularly participates in festivals and competitions, achieving notable success: double-category victory and the title of Absolute Winner at the Festival of Songs Olomouc (2022), a Gold Band at the International Choral Festival Bratislava (2023), and 1st prize at Porta Musicae (2024). The choir is led by Šárka Mistrová, with Martina Hudáčeková as accompanist.

 

Insieme per Caso – San Miniato – Italia

Insieme per Caso was founded in 1991 in La Serra (San Miniato, Pisa) by a group of young people led by Maestro Fabrizio Berni. Today it is a permanent ensemble composed of twelve female choristers, seven male choir members, and a band that has accompanied it since 1997. The repertoire ranges from gospel to musicals, pop, jazz, and classical music, performed with original arrangements and vocal care. In over thirty years of activity, the choir has performed concerts in Italy and abroad, participating in festivals, reviews, and charity initiatives. Among the most significant events: the performance for Pope John Paul II (1997), tours in France, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, Russia, and Austria, the final of the T.I.M. competition in Paris (2012), and collaboration on the opera Il mio Gesù by Beppe Dati (2015). Today Insieme per Caso combines passion, quality, and commitment, confirming itself as a vibrant and constantly evolving choral reality.

 

Chamber Choir of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz – Bydgoszcz – Poland

Founded in 1986, the Chamber Choir of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz is one of Poland’s leading academic ensembles, winner of numerous national and international awards, including ten Grand Prix titles. The choir was led for 34 years by Prof. Janusz Stanecki, assisted by Prof. Elżbieta Wtorkowska in vocal pedagogy. Since 2020, it has been directed by Dr. Magdalena Filipska, with Justyna Narewska (assistant conductor) and Dorota Nowak (vocal coach). Comprising students and graduates of the Academy, the choir has performed across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Recent honors include the Grand Prix in Barczewo (2024, 2017), Florence (2023), Ohrid (2017), and top prizes in Tokyo (2019). Renowned for its artistry and versatility, the ensemble continues to enrich Poland’s choral tradition worldwide.
